Welcome

HILO POND is a small nature sanctuary in middle Alabama that I call home. Fifty acres of rolling woods and pasture surrounding a two acre watershed pond. Neatly nestled into surrounding farmlands midway between the busy urban cities of Birmingham and Tuscaloosa.   

First launched Jan 2021, this website pays homage to the mysteries of man and nature, past and present, and to share how they have (and still do) affect my life.
